WHAT IS THE DISCOVERY LAB?

What is so remarkable about education is that it is everywhere. There are endless numbers of teachable moments that occur every single day. For many students though, their connection and what they will grow to know as education exists within the confines of a textbook.

Let’s change that.

Welcome to the STEAM Discovery Lab. Voyager has loaded up a horse trailer and created a lab on wheels. Like local food trucks, we will move the mobile lab to different locations with the hope of impacting a larger number of students. We will seek out public sites and events such as the Second Saturday series with 2 Girls 1 Plant and help bring experiential education to our larger community. Each day the lab is operating, we will create an event on social media (and right here) so that it has an opportunity to be shared.

Local teachers and volunteers from varying fields are welcome to work with our Discovery Lab and we will shout them out so that you have the ability to get a glimpse into what is coming. After a year of doing public events, we are so thrilled to be able to orchestrate even more opportunities in 2023! Follow us on Social Media or check back here to see where and when you can catch the lab.
